How I became a mentor

I have had many mentors myself in my life. My dear grandmother in Malawi was the best mentor I have ever had. Every time I visited her, she gave me useful guidance in my life. She has now passed away, and I can no longer talk to her, but every time I need guidance, I think of what she would have said to me. My father has also been a good mentor for me. He taught me to take active part in life, or else the world would pass by without you being involved in it. This fits in with what Dalai Lama said about seizing the opportunities. If you do not take an active part in life, you waste the talents you have been endowed with.
